Monitoring for district heating and cooling

Find the leak before it becomes an outage.

Pipeguard delivers complete monitoring systems for district heating and cooling networks: alarm modules in the field and the PGweb web system that brings alarms, readings and history together in one place.

Monitoring built for the field

Our modules are designed for the tough environments they work in, built on more than 45 years of experience. Sensitivity is their strength and reliability is their signature. Whatever you need to know about your distribution network, we can help you capture it.

What we monitor

  • Moisture and leaks

Alarm wires are measured in a loop, so length doesn't affect the readings.

  • Fault location with TDR

Pulse reflectometry shows the distance to the fault and stores the curve for analysis.

  • Chambers and vaults

Water level, RH%, temperature, lid and tamper alarms.

  • Pressure, flow, temperature

Supply and return pressure and temperatures, straight to the control room.

  • Old pipes without alarm wires

Acoustic leak detection with microphones where there is no wire to measure.

  • Pumps and boilers

Status and alarms from equipment in the network.

PGweb – the whole network in one view

System Pipeguard is a web-based monitoring system that collects readings from alarm modules and other sensors and presents them so you get an overview fast and can make the right decision.

  • microPG / miniPG

    Moisture alarm for 2–4 pipes

    microPG / miniPG

Compact alarm unit that measures alarm wires in a loop, so the same amount of water gives the same reading wherever the fault is. microPG handles two pipes or loops, miniPG four.

  • pulsPG

Fault location with TDR, 1–8 pipes

    pulsPG

Locating alarm unit with time-domain reflectometry (TDR). A main unit with 1–8 measuring modules connected directly to the pipe. Also measures deviation from the reference curve and the distance to the fault.

  • CC58 ChamberCheck

Chamber alarm with up to 10 years' battery life

    CC58 ChamberCheck

Monitors chambers and vaults: RH%, temperature, water level, floor temperature, and pressure and temperature on pipes.
